Shettima Submits Tinubu's APC Nomination Forms for 2027

On Thursday, Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, submitted the nomination forms for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing Tinubu's intent to seek the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for a second term in the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. Shettima made this disclosure in a statement, indicating that the submission of the forms signals Tinubu's commitment to continuing his leadership.

He called on party stakeholders, including governors and members of the National Assembly, to support Tinubu's re-election bid, asserting that Tinubu has demonstrated the capacity to steer Nigeria through its economic and social challenges. Shettima described the nomination form as "priceless," marking an early step in the preparations for the 2027 presidential election.

Additionally, James Faleke, representing the Ikeja Federal Constituency in Lagos State, obtained the APC express interest nomination form on behalf of Tinubu. The process was formalized with a value of N100 million, signaling the commencement of Tinubu's re-election campaign.
