APC North-East Celebrates Shettima's Renomination for 2027

On Sunday, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-East gathered in Bauchi to celebrate the renomination of Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 general election. They described this renomination as a reward for Shettima's loyalty, commitment, capacity, and hard work in office.

Abubakar Zaid, the Director-General of the BAT/KSM Progressive Alliance, emphasized Shettima's unwavering loyalty and competence since taking office, noting his role in coordinating key government reforms and supporting President Tinubu. Zaid acknowledged the importance of youth, women, and elders in the party's mobilization efforts, stating that their collective strength is vital for achieving victory in the upcoming elections.

Mahmud Muhammad, the Personal Assistant on Domestic and North-East Affairs in the Office of the Vice President, reiterated that Shettima's selection was based on his competence and understanding of governance, security, and economic management.
