“Shield Tinubu from northerners plotting against him” – APC chieftain tells southern leaders

APC chieftain Chief Olatunbosun Oyintiloye from Osun state has urged southern political and traditional leaders to shield President Bola Tinubu from alleged plots by a small elite group in the north to prevent his 2027 presidential bid. Oyintiloye emphasized Tinubu's support for northern interests and the need for reciprocal backing from the region.

He warned against the historical pattern of intimidation faced by southern presidents at the hands of northern power players. Oyintiloye called on leaders like Ooni of Ife and other prominent figures to mobilize regional support for Tinubu and counter any negative political tactics.

He also urged former leaders like Obasanjo, Jonathan, and southern elders to defend the region against northern influence, highlighting Tinubu's potential to stabilize Nigeria and promote fair development across the country.
