Shorunmu Urges NFF to Prepare Early for AFCON 2025 After World Cup Disappointment

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Shorunmu has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to swiftly chart a new course for the national team's early preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Following Nigeria's recent World Cup campaign disappointment and failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, Shorunmu stressed the urgency of rebuilding the team without delay.

He emphasized the need for proper planning and prioritization of future major competitions. The Super Eagles are set to kick off their 2025 AFCON campaign against Tanzania on December 23, followed by matches against Tunisia and Uganda.
