Singapore's ICA Lists Eligible Foreigners for Long-Term Visit Pass

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore has published a detailed list of seven categories of foreigners eligible to apply for a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP). The ICA clarified that obtaining this pass is not automatic, even for those who qualify, as each application is evaluated individually.

Factors considered include the applicant's family ties to Singaporeans, economic contributions, educational qualifications, age, family profile, and length of residency in Singapore. The ICA aims to determine the applicant's potential for meaningful contribution and integration into Singaporean society.

Notably, parents-in-law are excluded from eligibility under the parental category. The ICA also cautioned prospective applicants against relying on external migration agencies or consultants, stating that it does not endorse any such services and advises applicants to use only official ICA channels for guidance and application submissions.
