Six Kogi Students Arrested for Campus Assault Incident

On March 30, 2026, the Kogi State Police Command announced the arrest of six students from the Federal University Lokoja: Inajo, Henri, Nzekw, Victor, Lucki, Gambo, Paul, and David, along with a 17-year-old male student. This action followed a complaint regarding cyberstalking and assault against a male student named Oladosu Sundi.

The incident reportedly occurred on March 29, 2026, when the suspects allegedly confined the victim in a room, forcibly stripped him, and subjected him to inhumane treatment using a belt and charging cord. A video of the incident circulated online, leading to the police investigation.

During interrogation, the suspects admitted to their actions, claiming they were based on unverifiable assumptions about the victim's behavior. The Kogi State Police Command emphasized that such acts of jungle justice and cyberbullying are criminal offenses that will not be tolerated, urging the public, especially youths, to seek legal means for grievances.
