Six Students Arrested for Viral Bullying Incident in Lokoja

On March 30, 2026, the Kogi State Police Command announced the arrest of six students from Federal University Lokoja in connection with a viral video depicting bullying. The arrested students, identified as Inajo, Henri, Nzekw, Victor, Lucki, Gambo, Paul, and David, were implicated in the cyberstalking and assault of a 17-year-old male student named Oladosu Sundai.

The incident occurred on March 29, 2026, when the suspects allegedly confined the victim in a room, forcibly stripped him, and subjected him to inhumane treatment while recording the act. This video subsequently circulated online.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects acted on unfounded assumptions regarding the victim's behavior, leading to their arrest on March 30. The Kogi State Police Command emphasized their commitment to addressing cyberbullying and protecting citizens' rights, warning the public, especially youth, against taking the law into their own hands.
