SKOT Impact Academy to Offer Free Training for 200 Professionals

SKOT Impact Academy has announced plans to train 200 early-career communications professionals tuition-free in 2026. This initiative is part of SKOT Communications' commitment to developing globally competitive talent across Africa.

The second cohort will feature a six-week intensive training program designed for individuals with two years of experience in the communications field. The academy received 500 applications for this cohort, indicating a growing demand for access to high-quality training.

A competitive selection process will admit 60 participants, with 40 attending physical sessions in Lagos and 20 joining virtually from locations including Kenya and the United Kingdom. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Tokunboh Georg Taylor noted that the increase in applications reflects a preference for practical, application-driven learning within the communications industry.

The academy aims to equip professionals with strategic execution capabilities required in today's landscape. Despite the growing interest, the academy will maintain its tuition-free model to reduce entry barriers and promote inclusivity within the communications ecosystem.
