Nigerian Troops Rescue Traders and Kill Bandits in Sokoto Ambush

Nigerian troops rescued traders and killed bandits in a foiled ambush in Sokoto State. The incident occurred in Sabon Birni, where gunmen attacked traders at a weekly market.

The soldiers stationed in Kurawa town swiftly responded to the attack, leading to a fierce gun battle lasting nearly an hour. Nine bodies of bandits were recovered, with weapons and motorcycles seized.

Two civilians sustained injuries and were receiving treatment. The army, along with the community, celebrated the success of the operation.
