Anambra Appoints Chiamaka Nnake as First Female SSG

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State appointed Chiamaka Nnake, 39, as the first female Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on a statement issued on Monday by Chief Press Secretary Christian Aburim. Nnake hails from Nawfia in the Njikoka Local Government Area.

She will serve in the Commission on Budget and Economic Planning and is credited with driving resource mobilization and allocation for socio-economic development. Nnake has held leadership roles in various state agencies, including the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency and the Nigeria Human Capital Opportunities Prosperity Equity Program.

Before joining public service, she worked as a senior strategy consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Nigeria, leading engagements across multiple sectors. Nnake has received the CEO Award for Outstanding Performance in 2021 and holds a Master of Business Administration from Lagos Business School, graduating with first-class honors.

She is also pursuing a PhD in Public Policy and has contributed to the development of Anambra Vision 2070. Nnake is married with three children.
