Soludo Sworn in for Second Term as Anambra Governor

On November 1, 2023, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo was officially sworn in for his second term as the Governor of Anambra State.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, attended by a wide range of guests from within and outside the state.

Soludo arrived at the venue at exactly 11:18 AM, accompanied by top dignitaries, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, and elder statesman Chief Emeka Anyaoku. The ceremony commenced with Soludo taking the oath of allegiance at 11:50 AM, which lasted five minutes.

Nony Soludo, stood beside him during the oath-taking. The Chief Judge of the state officiated the ceremony, which concluded at 11:55 AM amidst applause, marking the beginning of Soludo's second term in office, which will run until 2030.
