Nony Soludo Distributes 5,000 Seedlings in Anambra

Nony Soludo, the First Lady of Anambra State, has commenced the distribution of 5,000 packs of hybrid non-GMO seedlings to residents across the state. This initiative is part of her efforts to promote healthier living and food security within the community.

The seedlings, which include corn, green vegetables, cabbage, pepper, tomato, and okra, are intended to help individuals and families grow organic food at home. Since the beginning of 2024, Nony Soludo has distributed a total of 25,000 packs to farmers and residents, aiming to boost subsistence farming and provide economic support to families.

She emphasized the importance of household gardens in achieving food sufficiency and supporting the economy of every household. Nony Soludo urged residents, particularly women, to embrace household gardening and subsistence farming, highlighting its role in developing a greener environment and healthier lifestyles.
