Former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has petitioned the Florida Attorney-General, James Uthmeier, regarding alleged multi-million-dollar properties secretly acquired by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. Sowore's petition, dated September 22, accuses Wike and his wife of unlawfully purchasing three lakeside homes in Winter Springs, Florida, valued at $6 million.

The properties were allegedly bought entirely in cash, bypassing banking oversight and raising concerns of money laundering. Sowore questions how a career politician like Wike could afford such acquisitions without declaring them, highlighting potential violations of asset declaration laws in Nigeria.
