Spain held a celebratory parade in Madrid to honor its World Cup triumph, which saw hundreds of thousands of supporters gather. The parade featured an open-top bus carrying the Spanish squad, known as La Roja, who returned to the capital early Monday afternoon.

They met with King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia at the Zarzuela Palace before proceeding to Plaza de Cibeles. Fans had secured spots along the route after a night of celebrations across the country, which continued until just after midnight when Spain's victory was confirmed.

Spain defeated Argentina in a grueling final, with Ferran Torres scoring the decisive goal in extra time. The celebrations erupted in Madrid, particularly at Puerta de Sol, where crowds sang, danced, and set off flares.

However, the festivities were marred by an incident where a 13-year-old in Salamanca collapsed while celebrating.
