Speaker Abbas Tajudeen Drives Kaduna Polytechnic Upgrade

Hon. Daniel Amos, the member representing Jema’a/Sanga federal constituency of Kaduna state, attributed the upgrade of Kaduna Polytechnic to the Federal University of Technology and Vocational Studies to Speaker Abbas Tajudeen's commitment to educational advancement. In a statement, Amos praised Speaker Abbas for his legislative excellence in sponsoring and successfully passing the bill that established the new university.

He described this achievement as historic and indicative of purposeful leadership. The Act repeals the Federal Polytechnic, Kaduna, and aims to enhance technical and vocational education, promote skills development, and accelerate national development.

Amos also expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for granting presidential assent to the bill, which is part of the Renewed Hope Agenda focused on educational reform. The new university is expected to unlock federal funding, expand degree programs, strengthen research capacity, and improve graduate employability in Kaduna state and its surroundings.
