SSANU and NASU to Stage Nationwide Protest on October 9

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Staff Union of Educational Associated Institutions (NASU) have planned a nationwide one-day protest on October 9 due to the Federal Government's failure to address their demands. The Joint Action Committee (JAC) ordered branches to convene emergency meetings to mobilize members for the protest, citing issues such as the alleged unjust disbursement of N50 billion Earned Allowances and salary arrears.

The unions had issued ultimatums to the government, which expired on October 6. The protest activities will include marches, displaying placards, and press conferences to highlight their grievances.
