Stanbic IBTC Pensions Wins UBA Sports Tournament Again

Stanbic IBTC Pensions won the overall championship at the 12th UBA Pensions Annual Sports Tournament, held on April 11, 2026, at the Upbeat Recreation Centre in Lekki, Lagos. This marks the second consecutive year that Stanbic IBTC Pensions has claimed this title.

The tournament brought together pension professionals and senior industry stakeholders, with a total of 57 medals awarded across various events. Citizen Pension finished in second place, while FCMB Pension secured third.

The tournament featured participation from 23 industry stakeholders, including notable organizations such as Access Arm Pension, Fidel Pension, and Premium Pension. Bless Ogwu, Managing Director of UBA Pension Custodian Limited, expressed appreciation for the turnout and emphasized the significance of the event in fostering healthy competition and networking within the pension industry.

The theme of the tournament was "Move, Connect, Thrive," highlighting the importance of engagement and relationship-building among professionals in the sector.
