Pan-Atlantic University Graduates 11 Women in Tech Program

The Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan-Atlantic University, in partnership with the Standard Chartered Foundation and Village Capital, graduated 11 women-led businesses during the 7th edition of the Women in Tech Incubator and Accelerator Programme in Lagos. Dr. Nneka Okekearu, Director of the EDC, emphasized that empowering women in technology transcends business, stating, “When you empower a woman, you empower a nation.” Over the past seven years, the program has supported numerous women in tech, leading to economic and social changes.
Okekearu noted that past beneficiaries have increased their revenue, adjusted business models, and received awards. The program also established boards for each business to refine their models, making them attractive for funding.
Mrs. Joke Adu, Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing at Standard Chartered Nigeria, reiterated the bank's commitment to women's economic inclusion, celebrating the impact of the program since its inception in 2019, which has supported 60 women and provided training, advisory services, and seed funding.
