Stop attempt to impose monarch in Irokun, Ogun monarch tells Ondo govt

Onirokun of Irokun Kingdom in Ogun State, Oba Buari Ola Balogun Ogbelege IV, has called on the Ondo State Government to halt its alleged attempts to install a monarch in Irokun. The Ogun monarch emphasized that the territory historically, legally, constitutionally, and politically belongs to Ogun State.

He warned that the planned installation of a monarch by Ondo State could lead to a crisis, chaos, and violent clashes among the community members. The statement released by the Palace of the Paramount ruler highlighted that the incumbent ruler of Irokun Kingdom has been duly recognized and installed by the Ogun State Government.

The Ogun State monarch urged relevant authorities and security agencies to intervene swiftly to prevent any further attempts by Ondo State to impose leadership in Irokun Kingdom.
