Stop beating Nigerians with ‘koboko’ – Sultan of Sokoto tells FG, Governors

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar III, has urged President Buhari, 36 state governors, and political leaders to stop using the 'koboko' (whip) on Nigerians. He emphasized the need for empathy and reassurance from leaders to address the grievances of the people.

Speaking at the launch of the NASFAT History Book in Abuja, marking the organization's 30th anniversary, the Sultan highlighted the importance of justice in governance and expressed concern over the poor state of education among Nigerian youth. He called on citizens to pray for their leaders instead of cursing them, emphasizing the power of justice and fairness in society.

Sheikh Abdulrauf echoed these sentiments, stating that justice is crucial for the nation to endure and overcome challenges. The Sultan urged Nigerians to turn to God and believe in a brighter future for the country.
