CAN Condemns Presidency for Downplaying Christian Killings in Nigeria

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has accused the Nigerian Presidency of trivializing the killings of Christians across the country, describing the ongoing attacks as a genocide. CAN's President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, criticized the Presidency for twisting facts and making light of the pain of the victims.

The association rejected the description of mass killings of Christians as genocide, stating that the attacks show a systematic targeting of Christian communities in various regions of Nigeria. Bishop Mike Akpami presented verifiable data during a meeting to contradict the Presidency's account, highlighting the religiously motivated violence against Christians in Nigeria.
