Deadlock in PENGASSAN Strike Talks with Federal Government and Dangote

The meeting between PENGASSAN, the Federal Government, and Dangote Refinery ended in a deadlock after a nine-hour deliberation in Abuja. PENGASSAN President Comrade Festus Osifo confirmed that the union's position remained unchanged, demanding the reinstatement of 800 dismissed workers.

Despite efforts to resolve the industrial dispute, no agreement was reached, leading to continued strike action. Osifo criticized Dangote Refinery for terminating workers, causing distress and jeopardizing careers.

The refinery admitted to the terminations, contradicting earlier denials, further escalating tensions between the parties involved.
