PENGASSAN Strike Threatens New Petrol Price Amid Dangote Refinery Dispute

Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has announced a nationwide strike against Dangote Refinery, anticipating a new petrol price change. The strike follows alleged unlawful dismissal of workers by the refinery, violating labor laws and promoting unfair practices.

PENGASSAN's National Executive Council declared the refinery's actions as an attack on workers' rights and organized labor. The dispute revolves around the employment of foreign workers over Nigerians, causing hardship to local families.
