APC Growth Driven by Digital Membership System

Professor Yilwatda, the chairman of the APC, highlighted the party's growth attributed to robust internal structures and a technology-driven membership system during a public presentation in Abuja. He explained that the APC's adoption of electronic registration is fundamental in strengthening party organization and mobilization efforts.

This system provides accurate and verifiable data about members, including their locations and contact details, enabling effective communication and mobilization plans during elections. Yilwatda noted that the system enhances the credibility of party primaries by ensuring duly registered members participate.

He clarified that while direct primaries foster a strong sense of belonging among members, poor management could lead to manipulation and limit voter freedom. Yilwatda emphasized the APC's unique flexibility in conducting primaries, citing successful consensus outcomes in multiple states without post-primary litigation, a rarity in Nigerian politics.
