Universities Urged to Study Tinubu's Political Strategies

A group known as GMI has called on Nigerian universities to analyze the political strategies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, highlighting his influential role in contemporary Nigerian politics. The organization described Tinubu as a pivotal figure whose political journey spans over three decades.

They emphasized the importance of understanding his strategies, particularly his involvement in the June 12 pro-democracy movement and his leadership as Governor of Lagos, where he transformed the state into Africa's fifth-largest economy. The group noted Tinubu's ability to build coalitions, exemplified by the historic merger of opposition parties that led to the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which successfully unseated an incumbent government.

GMI urged political actors to prioritize strategic alliances and grassroots mobilization, moving beyond mere slogans to achieve political stability and success in Nigeria.
