Summer Okibe Establishes ₦500,000 Prize for Best Female Law Graduate at COOU

Summer Okibe, an alumna of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), has endowed a ₦500,000 annual prize for the best female law graduate at the university. The award aims to recognize academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to legal practice.

Okibe, currently serving as an energy transition analyst at the UNDP, has a background in energy policy analysis and governance. The prize is part of her broader work in promoting energy access, climate justice, and economic development, particularly for marginalized communities.

The inaugural recipient will be announced at COOU's next convocation.
