Sunu Assurances Appoints Olayinka Adaramola as New ED

Sunu Assurances Nigeria Plc has confirmed the appointment of Olayinka Adaramola as the new Executive Director of Technical Operations, effective April 1, 2026. This appointment follows the resignation of Olajumok Bakar, an independent non-executive director, marking a significant board restructuring aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and technical expertise within the company.

Bakar's departure concludes a four-year tenure during which he contributed to the governance and strategic direction of the company. Adaramola, a veteran with two decades of experience in the insurance sector, is recognized for his expertise in underwriting and claims management.

His academic background includes a National Diploma in Insurance from Lagos State Polytechnic (1996) and an MBA in Marketing from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (2009). The board expressed appreciation for Bakar's service and aims for Adaramola to streamline underwriting processes and improve claims response, positioning Sunu Assurances for growth amid ongoing regulatory reforms in the Nigerian insurance industry.
