Super Eagles to Face Poland, Portugal in June Friendlies

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to play friendly matches against Poland and Portugal in June 2023, despite not qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. The matches are part of the FIFA international window, with the first match against Poland scheduled for June 3 at the PGE Narodowi Stadium in Warsaw.

The second match will take place on June 10 in Portugal, with the venue to be announced later. These friendlies are significant as they come just before Nigeria's participation in the United Cup tournament in London, where they will defend their title from May 26 to May 30.

The announcement was confirmed by Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport on Thursday. Recently, the Super Eagles played a friendly against Iran, which ended in a 2-2 draw, and they also faced Jordan in Antalya, Turkey.
