The Opta supercomputer has identified Arsenal as the frontrunner for the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League, projecting a 20.9% chance of winning the title after running 10,000 simulations. The competition begins on September 8, 2026, with a league phase involving 36 teams over eight matchdays.

The top eight teams will advance directly to the last 16, while those finishing ninth to 24th will enter a play-off round. The final is set for June 5, 2027, at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

Arsenal's prediction follows their unprecedented 2025-26 season, where they won all eight of their league-phase matches. They have a 93.8% chance of progressing from the league phase this season, although their schedule is considered tougher, giving them an 18.8% chance of topping the league phase again.

Bayern Munich follows closely with a 19.4% chance, while PSG, the reigning champions, have dropped to fifth with a 7.1% chance after a poor start in Ligue 1.
