Supreme Court Upholds APC Victory in Ondo Governorship Election Dispute

The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ondo Governorship Election dispute, affirming Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa's victory in the November 2024 election. The apex court dismissed the appeal filed by three political parties challenging Aiyedatiwa's win, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Agboola Ajayi.

Following the withdrawal of the appeal, the Supreme Court upheld Aiyedatiwa's victory. APC's national chairman paid a congratulatory visit to the governor after the judgment.

The court's decision signals a resolution to the election tussle and calls for unity among political leaders in Ondo State to move forward.
