Ondo Governor Aiyedatiwa's Legal Victory Sealed by Supreme Court Decision

The long legal battle of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State came to a quiet end at the Abuja Supreme Court last week. The court dismissed the appeal of Agboola Ajayi, the former deputy governor and PDP candidate, who chose to withdraw the petition.

This decision marked the final act in a series of legal challenges, with other candidates also withdrawing their cases. Aiyedatiwa's victory was affirmed by the highest court, sealing his position as the undisputed leader of Ondo State.

The Attorney General, Olukayode Ajulo, praised Ajayi's decision to retreat as a sign of maturity and patriotism, urging unity and focus on development.
