Governor Namadi of Jigawa State Highlights Positive Results of Education Investments

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State emphasized the positive impact of sustained investments in basic education during a roundtable meeting at the Government House. The meeting, attended by stakeholders including donor agencies and development partners like UNICEF, Islamic Development Bank, and Save the Children, aimed to assess progress, challenges, and opportunities within the education sector.

Dr. Lawal Yunusa Danzomo, the Commissioner of Basic Education, highlighted the improvements in access to education, pupil retention, and teacher recruitment and training.

The governor pledged to review recommendations to enhance the state's education policies and frameworks. The meeting underscored the need for collaborative efforts to ensure every child in Jigawa State enrolls in and completes their education successfully.
