SWAN President Commends Igoche Mark's Basketball Impact

On a Friday visit to Abuja, Comrade Isaiah Benjamin, President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), commended Mr. Igoche Mark, the Initiator of the Mark D’ Ball Basketball Championship, for his substantial contributions to basketball development in Nigeria. Benjamin acknowledged Mark's investments and achievements, stating that they qualify him for leadership in the sport, particularly as he aspires for the NBBF Presidency.

He urged basketball stakeholders to elect leaders based on proven track records rather than personal interests. In response, Mr. Igoche Mark thanked SWAN for their visit and highlighted the association's vital role in sports development.

He called for objective reporting and constructive criticism to foster meaningful growth in basketball. Mark also expressed a desire for a stronger partnership between SWAN and the Mark D’ Ball initiative.

Ambassador Ikenna Okonkwo, SWAN's Secretary-General, also praised the Mark D’ Ball Championship for its significant impact on basketball growth in Nigeria.
