SWAN Symposium Advocates Media-Sports Collaboration

The SWAN symposium emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between media and sports administrators to boost sports growth in Nigeria. SWAN Vice President, Ahmed Kagana Amshi, stressed the symbiotic relationship between sports and the media in educating and entertaining society.

The symposium, organized by the Gombe State SWAN chapter, highlighted the role of sports journalism in inspiring athletes and ensuring accountability. The event also announced the upcoming SWAN Diamond Jubilee celebration in October 2025.

Various speakers, including Gombe FA Chairman Yakubu Sarma and SWAN Bauchi Chairman Bala Bawaji, emphasized the importance of professionalism and media's role in shaping the future of sports.
