SWAN Condemns Exclusion from NFF Congress, Orders Boycott

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) condemned its exclusion from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Congress and instructed its members to boycott all NFF activities, including the Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Ibadan, Oyo State. SWAN's National Executive Committee directed members nationwide to withdraw from covering and participating in NFF events due to the ongoing exclusion of SWAN from the NFF Congress.

The association criticized the NFF leadership for this exclusion, calling it retrogressive and unacceptable. SWAN emphasized the importance of its role as a sporting medium in national football development and urged the NFF to address the issue promptly to ensure the seamless growth of football in Nigeria.
