Tacha Slams False Rape Claims After TikTok Confession

Tacha, a former Big Brother Naija housemate and media personality, strongly condemned false rape allegations following a TikTok user's admission of lying about a rape claim. In a video posted on her Instagram page on Thursday, Tacha reacted to Mirabel's confession, describing the issue of rape as extremely sensitive and serious.

She cautioned women against using rape allegations as a weapon, noting that false claims can severely damage the credibility of actual survivors and provide ammunition for rape apologists, making it difficult for real victims to come forward and be believed. Tacha acknowledged that individuals may act out of emotional or mental distress but maintained that the seriousness of such claims cannot be understated.

She emphasized that false accusations have severe consequences and can negatively influence public perception, urging society to amplify the voices of true survivors and protect them.
