Federal Government Orders Emergency Work on Niger Road After Tanker Explosion

The Federal Government has directed emergency palliative work on Niger Road in response to a recent tanker explosion near Lambata, Lapai, and Bida in Niger State. Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State deployed an emergency committee to work with contractors, including CGC Nigeria Limited, to ensure the road's rehabilitation.

The project, initially funded by NNPC, is now under review, with President Bola Tinubu instructing the continuation of ongoing projects. Stakeholders, including Aliko Dangote and Niger State Governor Moham Umar Bago, are collaborating to address the road's infrastructure needs.
