Taraba APC Raises Alarm Over N1M Tax Fee for LG Polls

The Taraba State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised concerns over a purported N1 million tax clearance fee imposed by the Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission (TSIEC) ahead of the local government elections. The APC alleges that this fee increase is a deliberate attempt to hinder opposition participation and favor the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The party claims that the fee has significantly risen from previous elections, creating financial hurdles for opposition candidates. The APC warns that such actions could lead to political disenfranchisement and an unfair electoral playing field in the state.
