Planet Talk Expands Migration Services to Ireland, US

Planet Talk, a technology-driven platform, has broadened its migration services to support migrant communities in Ireland and the United States, marking a significant step in its international growth. This expansion follows the company's earlier rollout in France and Canada over the past year.

The platform, which began as a low-cost international calling service, has evolved to offer a broader digital platform that includes financial support tools. These tools enable users to make international calls, send airtime and data, and pay bills for family members across 150 countries.

The expansion comes amid a shift in remittance behavior among African diaspora communities, who increasingly seek services beyond cash transfers, including bill payments and mobile top-ups. Tope Ayedun, Managing Director of Planet Talk, stated that this expansion reflects the company's mission to strengthen family connections across borders and facilitate everyday transactions for migrants, ensuring reliable support for families back home.
