Ten Hag Dismisses Claims Ronaldo Was a Problem at Manchester United

Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has refuted claims that Cristiano Ronaldo was a problem during their time together at Old Trafford. Ten Hag defended the Portuguese player, who joined United in 2021 and left in late 2022 after mutually terminating his contract.

Despite a public argument with the Dutch coach, Ronaldo managed to score 19 goals in 40 Premier League games and provided three assists. Ten Hag, who led United to EFL Cup and FA Cup victories before being fired in October 2024 due to a disappointing start to the new Premier League campaign, stated that Ronaldo was never a problem in the past.
