Terrorists Threaten to Bomb Nigeria's National Assembly, Security Measures Urged

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Internal Security, Hon. Garba Ibrahim Muhammad, revealed that terrorists have threatened to bomb the National Assembly in Nigeria.

He emphasized the increasing security threats faced by lawmakers and visitors, including theft and infiltration. To address these risks, a bill seeking to establish a Legislative Security Director for enhanced security management was discussed.

Hon. Garba stressed the importance of a coordinated security approach and urged other state legislatures to adopt similar security frameworks nationwide to safeguard legislative activities.
