National Assembly Tightens Security Ahead of Lawmakers' Return

The National Assembly in Abuja has implemented heightened security measures ahead of lawmakers' resumption from the annual recess on October 7. This decision was communicated through an internal memo issued by the Office of the Chairman of the Senate Services Committee, restricting access to certain strategic locations within the complex.

The memo, dated October 2, also mentioned the restoration of access to Senator Natasha's office, which had been sealed for six months. The security tightening comes after the brief recess following the adjournment of plenary on July 24.
