Terry G Cries Foul, Says Billboard Robbed Him In Afrobeats All-Time List

Nigerian artist Terry G has accused Billboard of unfairness, claiming his hit songs were snubbed in the recent Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs list. The list, topped by 2Face's "African Queen," also included tracks by Timaya, Weird MC, and Olu Maintain.

Terry G expressed disappointment that his popular songs like "Akpako Master" and "Free Madness" were conspicuously missing from the list. While some fans supported his claim, others argued that his songs did not deserve a spot.

Terry G defended his performance at a political event, stating he is an independent artist and should not be judged for it. He received backlash for performing at a concert linked to the ruling Progressives Congress in 2023.

Terry G's grievances were shared on the Real Shareholders podcast, where he criticized Billboard for overlooking his contributions to Afrobeats.
