TETFund Develops Security Master Plan for Nigerian Tertiary Institutions

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) in Nigeria is working on a security master plan for tertiary institutions nationwide to combat various threats such as banditry, kidnapping, and cyber intrusions. The Chairman of TETFund, Aminu Bello Masari, revealed this during a workshop in Abuja.

The plan seeks to improve threat prevention, detection, and response capabilities by involving key stakeholders like security agencies, administrators, students, and staff. It will focus on intelligence gathering, emergency response mechanisms, and promoting a collaborative approach to campus security.

The outcome of this initiative is expected to significantly enhance the safety of campuses in Nigeria.
