Atiku Condemns Recent Killings in Nigeria, Calls for Proactive Security Measures

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku, expressed deep concern over the escalating insecurity in the country following recent killings by bandits and terrorists. He labeled the loss of even one Nigerian life as an unforgivable failure on the part of the government.

Atiku, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), urged the government to take proactive security measures to address the challenges. Meanwhile, military operations have been directed to the Kiama local government area in Kwara State to ensure peace restoration.

Atiku's statements were made public during a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The operations in Kwara State are part of the Savannah Shield initiative, responding to the security crisis in the region.
