Enyimba Hotel Project Nears Completion in Aba

The Enyimba Hotel project, originally announced by Aji Ukpabi and initiated under the military administration of Anthony Asika in 1972, has faced numerous challenges over the decades, including interruptions during political transitions. Despite these setbacks, the project symbolizes hope and resilience for the people of Aba.

The foundation was laid in 1975, but construction halted until it resumed under Governor Sam Mbakwe in 1981. The hotel, which stands as a metaphor for the city’s potential, is now nearing completion, with the leadership of Gada, Director General Architect Uch Ukej, and Chairman John Udeagbala playing pivotal roles in its revival.

The project is part of a broader initiative to transform Aba, with various infrastructural developments underway, including roads and bridges. The community is encouraged to embrace this vision of progress, moving beyond past disappointments to realize the dream of a thriving city.
