Otti Launches Reconstruction of Enyimba Hotel in Aba

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Abia State Governor Alex Otti officially flagged off the reconstruction of the long-abandoned Enyimba Hotel, which will be renamed Radisson Blu Enyimba International Hotel. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize Aba as a premier commercial hub in West Africa.

Governor Otti emphasized that the project represents the fulfillment of a vision first conceived in 1972 during the administration of Anthony Ukpabi Asika. The hotel will feature a seven-story structure, initially delivering 120 rooms as a five-star facility, with plans to expand to a 250-room hospitality complex within four years.

Otti attributed delays in project execution to the need for robust operational agreements and highlighted the importance of improving infrastructure, sanitation, security, and healthcare in the region. He expressed confidence that the hotel will elevate service standards and attract investments, thereby stimulating growth in related sectors.

The event also saw commendations from local business leaders and representatives, including Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and Leo Okoy.
