Tinubu Appeals for Patience from Nigerians Amid Reforms

President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians for more time to address what he termed the mistakes and missed opportunities of previous administrations. This appeal was made through the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, during a special prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja, part of the events marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

Tinubu emphasized that citizens should not lose hope, asserting that peace and development would return to the country. He stated that his administration is focused on correcting the cumulative errors of past governments and expressed confidence that Nigeria is on the right path, with sacrifices made by citizens leading to a better future.

Reflecting on the significance of the 66th anniversary, he noted Nigeria's maturity and acknowledged the challenges faced since independence, while expressing gratitude for the nation's survival and unity. Tinubu concluded by asking for another opportunity for his government to continue its policies.
