Fayose Declares PDP Extinct, Factional Disputes Deepen Crisis

Former Ekiti State Governor Fayose has declared the People's Democratic Party (PDP) extinct, stating there is no hope for the party's return to power. Factional tensions within the PDP have escalated, with disputes over leadership roles.

This comes as faction members, including Austin Nwachukwu, Amah Nnanna, and Turnah Georg, file lawsuits alleging breaches of the party's constitution. The situation worsened when Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja allowed the party to proceed with its national convention despite the internal turmoil.
