Nollywood Actor Olumide Oworu Discusses Political Aspirations

Olumide Oworu, a Nollywood actor, has voiced his concerns regarding Nigeria's deteriorating conditions, stating that "things keep getting worse." In a recent interview with Naija FM in Lagos, he explained his decision to enter politics, emphasizing his desire to be among policymakers who can effect change. Oworu criticized the current crop of politicians, asserting that their poor policymaking negatively impacts the average citizen.

He contested for a position as a member of the House of Assembly to represent the Surulere 1 constituency in Lagos State under the Labour Party during the 2023 elections but faced setbacks, losing to a colleague. Despite this defeat, Oworu remains committed to his political aspirations and aims to continue advocating for improvements in governance.
